I’m stuck for blog post ideas so I thought I’d give a glimpse at some of my top K-pop title tracks of the year so far, I will of course post my full list at the end of the year. I feel like there have been so many great releases this year, deciding on my top tracks will be really difficult, especially ranking them!
Ateez – Hala Hala
Oneus – Valkyrie
KNK – Sunset
Taemin – Want
Stray Kids – Side Effects
BTS – Blood Sweat & Tears
I certainly can’t have a most aesthetically pleasing K-pop MVs list without this now can I? I’m sticking to 1 MV per group/artist and everything about this just screams beauty to me (no not just the members). The whole set and colour pallet is gorgeous and scenes like Taehyung under the sheet and JK floating in the air are breathtaking. Also how paint features in this MV with the splattering and when it runs down Jimin’s face, just yes. This MV and the whole Wings era was inspired by a book called Demian by Hermann Hesse.
NU’EST W – Where You At
Nu’est have a lot of aesthetically pleasing MVs but I’m picking Where You At for the variety. I really love the individual member room sets and how they feature different colour pallets. The purple church and beach scenes are my favourites along with Ren in that red lace blindfold.
More to come! Which K-pop MVs do you find the most aesthetically pleasing?
Me and my friend Lena (who also loves k-pop) thought it would be fun to do one of these, and seeing as we both love BTS a lot, to do one featuring only BTS! This is just for fun and our own opinions.

Oneus debuted back in January with Valkyrie and quickly became one of my new top groups, the title track was amazing and the whole mini album was solid. So here we are with their first comeback and 2nd mini album, Raise Us with title track Twilight.
How will it stand against their debut?
Here are my first thoughts of listening to the songs:

Nu’est released their 6th mini album ‘Happily Ever After’ on the 29th of April 2019. It is their first physical release as a 5 member group since Minhyun came back from being a member of Wanna One (Produce 101 S2) temporary group. For those that don’t know, Nu’est are my ultimate bias group, so there have been a LOT OF FEELS. Here are my first thoughts of listening to the songs:

I decided to try and rank the current 21 BTS title tracks because I like to torture myself apparently. This is purely based on my own opinions and the music only, not the music videos. Some of these songs I’ve listened to a lot more than others and some I have grown to like more over time so this list may well change in the future. Also because I’m Taehyung trash, I decided to make each screenshot one of him.
Clicking on an image will lead to the official music video on Youtube. Let’s go.

BTS released the first mini album of their new era, Map of the Soul, with Persona on April 12th 2019. The title track and music video is Boy With Luv and features the American singer Halsey. I have been an Army since DNA era and have been eagerly awaiting this comeback. Here are my first thoughts of listening to the songs:
