I recieved an eARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This book was pretty confusing for the first part, until you figure out the connections between reality and the “other” world. If you persist past the confusion it’s actually quite fun seeing the connections appear and having those ahha moments where things start to make more sense. That being said, this is a book about serious mental health issues and focuses on a young boys struggle with losing himself and his experience staying in a mental hospital.
I personally thought that this subject matter was dealt with and depicted in a very creative yet accurate way and shows the impact mental health issues has on a whole family aswell as the patient themselves. Really great characters too, an important read.
My rating: 4/5 stars
